We had a magical time heading to Niihamaa, with a group of principles from Australia and New Zeeland.
On the tour we had a nice little hike looking at the last of the mushrooms and some berries before the long Winter arrives. During the hike we also tried some Forest Mind exercises that really help open your mind to the nature around you.
Then it was time to make fire and prepare a Salmon soup. While the soup was cooking we were playing some Mölkky (A Finnish game that I can not say the name of)
Then it was time to eat! Everyone seemed to have loved the Salmon soup, served alongside some ryebread!
After the salmon soup, we went for a small walk as the Moon was showing off by casting a beautiful Halo around it.
It was a nice moment to chat and talk while letting the soup settle, before we went back in to make some pancakes on the open fire!
The pancakes are always a bit hit, even if they turn out a little burnt here and there. But every group has one show off! Always on adventurous person that has to attempt to flip it in the pan. This time it was a perfect success!
Then right before the bus arrives, a goodbye song was sung to us, it was such a touching moment and this group will truly be missed!
If you're interested in having a Finnish nature experience or similar tours created for your group. Make contact and we can create you something magical!
